Bio
Nick Roberts joins the Johnson Royals men's basketball staff as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Director for his first season with the program. He holds a Master's degree in Sports Management and a bachelor's degree in History with a focus on Secondary Education, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.86 GPA.
A four-year varsity player at Bryan College under Coach Rekoske, Roberts was a member of the team's leadership council and was named a conference Champion of Character for the 2023-24 season. Now transitioning from player to coach, he brings a player's perspective and a strong academic foundation to the Royals' staff, and is expected to play a key role in shaping the team's offensive strategy.
A Maryville, Tennessee native and Alcoa High School alumnus, Roberts is the son of Todd and Kelly Roberts and older brother to Natalie. He is the founder and commissioner of the Josh Livingston Summer League in Blount County, established in honor of his late cousin, which has given more than 250 college-age players the chame to compete in a structured, Christ-centered environment over the past three summers.
In his free time, Roberts enjoys golf, cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, and spending time with friends and family.
