Johnson University Royals Shine at Freed-Speed College XC Invitational

The Royals delivered an exceptional performance at the Freed-Speed College and High School XC Invitational held in Pinson, TN, on September 6, 2025. Competing against teams from seven other institutions, including Freed-Hardeman University and Northeast Mississippi, the Royals showcased their endurance and speed over the challenging course.

The Royals' men and women's cross-country teams saw significant individual achievements among their runners. Caleb Moser led the team with an 12th place finish, clocking a pace of 5:53 per mile for a total time of 29:16.2. Not far behind, Cooper Dodson secured the 18th position with a time of 31:30.4. Other notable performances included Harrison Dabbs, Michael Pulsifer, Caleb Holley, and Felipe Barstad, contributing to the team's solid overall placement.

Head coach Brody Blalock expressed immense pride in the team's efforts at the meet. "I am super super proud of today. Our athletes came out and did a great job. Everyone exceeded my expectations," said Blalock. This high spirit is expected to carry forward to their next event, the Twilight at John Hunt, scheduled for September 26, 2025, at John Hunt Park.
