Royals Compete Strong at Twilight at John Hunt
The Royals cross country teams turned in solid performances at the Twilight at John Hunt meet on September 26, 2025 in Huntsville, Alabama racing against a deep and talented field under the lights.
On the men's side, the Royals placed 15th overall in the 8k, finishing with a team score of 411. Leading the way was Caleb Moser, who crossed the line in 80th place out of 163 runners, setting the tone with a steady performance against top regional competition.
The women's team also battled hard, taking 15th in the 5k with 389 points. Kaylee Dyke paced the Royals, finishing 69th out of 126 competitors, and helped anchor the women's squad in one of their strongest outings of the season.
Head Coach Brody Blalock praised the effort from his athletes, saying, "Super proud of both boys and girls today. We are right in the middle of some really hard training cycles both this week and next week, so I really expected them to come in tired and lacking motivation. But you really couldn't tell it on the course. They looked really good and competed well! And they ran as a group perfectly so I'm super proud of the results.
