Lady Royals Advance in AAC Tournament with 3–1 Win
The Royals opened AAC Tournament play with a 3–1 victory over Union Commonwealth on Friday afternoon, bouncing back after a close first-set loss to take the next three frames and secure the match.
The Lady Royals were led by Hannah Lukey's 11 kills and a strong performance from Ariah Gourley, who added eight kills on .353 hitting. Makiyah Greenlee totaled nine kills and three blocks, while setter Caelyn Marshall contributed 22 assists, 15 digs, and three aces. Johnson finished with 49 kills and held Union Commonwealth to just .081 hitting.
Defensively, Johnson collected 52 digs and recorded 11 total blocks, with libero Marissa McMahon leading the way with 16 digs. The win improves the Lady Royals to 31–6 on the season as they advance to the AAC Tournament semifinals.
