The Johnson University women's volleyball team delivered an unforgettable day at the Douglas E. Karnes Arena on Saturday, earning back-to-back victories over Truett McConnell and Bob Jones University. The pair of wins not only extended the Royals' strong season but also marked a historic milestone as Head Coach Robin Vannoy earned her 200th career win at Johnson University.
In the morning matchup, Johnson came out strong with a 3–0 sweep (25–17, 25–23, 25–20) over Truett McConnell. Abigail Brown led the attack with 15 kills, while Luci Morris followed with 8 kills and an impressive .444 hitting percentage. Setter Caelyn Marshall distributed the offense with 20 assists, and Hannah Lukey added 18 assists and 11 digs for a balanced team performance.
The Royals carried that momentum into the afternoon contest, defeating Bob Jones 3–1 (25–17, 25–27, 25–15, 25–14). Brown again led the way with 18 kills and a .395 hitting percentage, while Morris added 14 kills and 2 blocks. Johnson's offense stayed sharp with 51 assists, led by Marshall's 24 and Lukey's 19. The team collectively hit an efficient .243 on the match.
With the two wins, Johnson improved to 19–5 overall and 7–2 in conference play.
