KNOXVILLE, Tn- The Royals hosted Point on 3/31 and 4/1 where they won the series over the Skyhawks 2 games to 1. The Royals won the first two games 9-4 and 10-3 before falling in the 3rd game 1-14.
Austin Mitchell and Austin Sykes were credited with wins. Austin Sykes led the Royals with 4 strikeouts on the day, as Connor Haley, Nathan Hoffman, Mason Bell, and Austin Mitchell each had 3 strikeouts.
Kenny Naysmith, Pierce Durham, and Brayden Taylor tied for the team lead with 4 hits each in the series. Tyler Phillips homered twice as well.
Seth Pressley, Brayden Taylor, Will Varner, and Bryson Shown each stole a base on the series.
The Royals will look to keep things rolling on 4/4 when they host Tennessee Southern.
